According to the dictionary, an enfant terrible is “one whose startlingly unconventional behaviour, work, or thought embarrasses or disturbs others.”  This is probably a bit strong for someone whose unconventional behaviour only goes as far as coloured shoes and a canvas bag in place of a brief-case. However, some of the synonyms offered in the thesaurus - nonconformist, dissenter, dissident, unorthodox – are closer to the spirit of the contribution I might be able to make to your organization. I expect to challenge, speaking as I find; to think ‘out of the box’, offering creative solutions.  Learning is my business and progress is my product.  Even so, in seeking to support your organization in its management of change, I will want to tread softly, building confidence and self-esteem, while looking closely at how leadership is working, with a particular focus on relationships, culture and emotional climate.
